Select the S3 ViRGE renderer from the dropdown in the “Video” tab.Install as normal and drop the MiniGL files into the game directory, replacing the existing OPENG元2.DLL file.Technically an OpenGL game but Techland released an official S3 MiniGL driver for it.1.02 Patch (Seems to be specific to ELSA cards, so maybe worth a try if you have one of those.1.01 Patch (Also on CD in “patch” directory, superseded by 1.02 below).Note: Both of the below patches broke S3DRUN on my test machine!.
If it won’t launch with the CD in the drive, try without!.This game seems very sensitive about sound card config - if it isn’t correct (or even if disabled) it locks up.Requires S3DRUN for DX / GX under Windows - run S3DRUN BR in command prompt window (tested with this version).Game won’t start in DOS with DX / GX cards.Select S3 as graphics card type and renderer in SETUP.EXE.These games support the S3 ViRGE / S3D accelerated rendering out of the box without additional patches, or if a patch is required, it was included on the CD itself. Retail Releases With No Patch Required (Or Patch Provided on CD) Copy TOMB.EXE over the top of existing installation and run.Requires S3DRUN for DX / GX or will freeze on game start (tested with this version).Copy GAME.EXE over the top of existing installation and run.Tested with registered CD-ROM version v1.2 - will patch to v1.3.Note that the POD Gold MMX release (below) is 2.0 already and features native ViRGE support, so I recommend that version.Note that the “Infinite Abyss” release (below) has native ViRGE support as well as extra content, so I recommend that version.These patches were officially released by the games’ publishers for use with the retail releases of these games.
